2007 Barrett-Jackson: Shelby GT #001 Goes For $600K
The first production 2007 Shelby GT #001 went across the auction block on Saturday at the 2007 Barrett-Jackson collector car auction and it was being sold to benefit Carroll Shelby's Children's Foundation. The Shelby GT #001 sold for $600K which if you remember from last year's auction was the same amount the first Shelby GT500 went for. The winning bidder was the same gentlemen, Ron Pratte who not only won the Shelby GT500 last year but also purchased the next two Shelby GT500's #002 and #003. During the auction on Saturday Mr. Pratte was also given the option to purchase Shelby GT #002 at MSRP.
