Another month of declining sales for the Ford Mustang has hit yet again for the month of April. Sales of Mustangs for April of this year were 12,509 compared to 15,868 from April of the previous year showing a 21.2% drop in sales. Year to date sales for 2007 are 47,082 compared to 56,560 for the four months of last year, a 16.8% drop. Sales have been decreasing from the previous months as well and there seems to be no end in sight. One has to wonder what Ford has up it's sleeve to try an curb the decline in Mustang sales.

Third model year for essentially the exact same vehicle - its got to be expected, right?

Yes and No, I think Ford knows sales will decline the farther the model gets in it's run but I bet they did not expect double digit percentage declines like they are seeing.

There is not much choice in the market for this kind of cars at the moment. They better hurry and offer a better product before the new Camaro and Challenger are offered to the public or it will be the end of the Mustang's glory days.
