Official Shelby 'Super Snake' Price & Specs Released

After much speculation over the past month about the price of the 'Super Snake' package, Amy Boylan, president of Shelby Automobiles Inc. confirmed the price of $27,995 for the Shelby 'Super Snake' package over at StangsUnleased forums. She went on to say the price is expensive because of all the parts included and the retooling that has to take place to produce these cars. She also posted a more detailed list of all the parts that will be included in the package which can be seen after the jump.

So for a breakdown of what it will cost to get into one of these, MSRP for Shelby GT500 coupe $44K (est) + 'Super Snake' Package of $27,995 = $72K or so.

i can't wait until the super snake comes out and blows the competition away with looks and performance. it will leave everyone in the dust. GM will never be able to match Ford with anything close.

has to have upper air scoops, more of a duck tail rear spoiler, and the "snake eye",sequential slit tail lights of the original.

Dodge will crap over it with the 600 hp Viper. And after all its a mustang most girls no it as a mustang not GT, not cobra, not KR or even Super Snake. But people know Viper and they dont make 10 different vipers like GM and Ford does

as much as it costs i can get a supra n blow this mustangs doors off they want 30,000 4 what? a bullshit upgrade. with 30,000 dumped into a supra i can have over 1000 hp plus its a mustang its always going to have problems no matter what im not hating or anything im just proving a point

I agree with the fact that Ford is overpricing their Mustang upgrades like hell, but I believe the reason for this is their financial trouble. They are probably trying to gain back some money lost through their most popular and best-selling cars. With what Turbo specialist said, I agree I could put 30,000 into a plain GT Mustang and have better results and looks. I personally have a Mustang GT, and have no problems with it whatsoever...plus Mustang is one of the best-selling cars ever, so I put kudos to that fact.

yes I totally agree KUja01. with a basic 05 gt if you put 30k or even 20k you could build your own super snake it might not say shelby but it will have all those shelby owners hating on you. at least thats what I plan in doing.

the guy with the viper. mustangs have been around for ever .vipers not so long.not saying vipers are not cool.but will any one care about a viper in 30 years.

Seriously? You guys really need to do your homework, and understand that the Shelby Super Snake is not manufactured by Ford. It is manufactured by SHELBY!!! Hints the title, "Shelby Super Snake." I do however, agree with the statement that GM will not be able to match this vehicle. Whether it's performance, or looks... The Super Snake has marked it's territory, and it's here to stay.

the super snake is a bad animal. i do wonder if it will wonder if it will outrun the zr1, with the weight and all. true it can have as much as 750+ hp which is a shade over 100 more than a zr1 but the zr1 weighs over 1100 lbs less. so it will be interesting to see. and as for the guy about the supra. good point you can put 30 grand in anything hell i can build a whole car ind it have more performance than a zr1 and the super snake.

the super snake is bad and about time ford put the bull shit aside and let its' name be attached to something in the supercar world. even with it being an upgrade all of the big three have them: gm with lingenfelter and calloway, ford with roush and shelby, and dodge with HENNESSEY COUGH!1400+HPCOUGH!!but we really dont want to talk about that though do we :)

PFFF. Whatever dude. A standard C6 runs 12.4's non pro driver in a quarter with 435 hp. That 725 "super" snake does 12.5 from car and drivers driver. Ford has nothing on performance. That thing needs a diet and a suspension. its over 4000 pounds and cant hook up.
