December 31st, 1969 The past several months of declining Mustang sales have put alot of doubt in the minds of Ford brass as to the strength of the Mustang brand but those concerns can finally be put to rest as sales increased for the month of May by a double digit percentage over the same period of last year. Sales of Mustangs for May of this year were 17,478 compared to 15,559 from May of the previous year showing a 12.3% increase in sales. Year to date sales for 2007 are 64,560 compared to 72,119 for the five months of last year, a 10.5% drop. If you are curious what previous months sales are check out April, March and February Sales.
