The turbo gurus at Turbonetics have just announced their bolt-on turbo system for the 2005-06 Ford Mustang GT which is rated at a jawdropping 550 horsepower is now available for purchase and shipping. The new turbo system will bolt right up to your stock Mustang GT with a simple one -day installation that requires no chassis modifications and no cutting or splicing of electrical components. This kit includes everything needed to install the turbo system down to the nut and bolt. The Price for this kit is around $6K.
When I hear about a product like this it makes me want to sell my Cobra and purchase a 2005-06 Mustang GT and strap this baby on. With Shelby GT500 prices still hovering around the $55K mark this is a great alternative for someone who is on a budget. Prices for a 2005-06 Mustang GT are around $22K-$25K and a $6K Turbo kit would put you at about $30K for 550 horsepower, that is one hell of a Shelby GT500 Killer (sleeper) for almost half the cost. If I was Turbonetics I would be marketing this thing as an alternative to the high priced Shelby GT500's.
After the jump you will find all the details and a high-res photo of the turbo system.

This is really an affordable turbo kit. Maybe their competitors will come with a similar kit and start competing with Turbonetics. I think they can lower the price, but this option is really a good alternative.

I completely agree about the price of the kit, very good price for up to 250 reliable horsepower.

Do you need to make any other engine upgrades to have one of these running reliably?
