Knight Rider will be making a comeback to network tv in Februay with a two-hour premiere movie and the star of the show will be KITT, a Shelby GT500KR. The new KITT will come in three different modes, HERO, ATTACK and a camouflage version. KITT was designed by Galpin Auto Sports out of California in only one week under intense guidlines. Although I am a stickler for all things nostalgic in the genre of tv. I could not think of another car better suited to replace the Trans Am than the "King of the Road" Mustang Cobra. If you think of it, back in the 80's the Trans Am was still popular with it's sleek design and since they havent made another since the "blackbird" it makes sense to look to another vehicle that embodies all of the old KITT's attributes

I like this breakthru. GM lost a good opportunity here ... shame on them. I can't wait to see the movie. This will be fun to watch. The car looks awsome.

Great choice of car but using a Mustang for a famous car like KITT is like having a Toyota Supra for a new Bullitt movie.
