Idiots at Top Gear, V6 Mustang vs. Horse not V8

This just gives us further evidence about the british show Top Gear and what idiots they have working for them. In the video host Jeremy Clarkson claims a 300 Horsepower Mustang goes up against a single Horse when in reality it's a V6 Mustang automatic convertible doing the rounds on the track, probably the slowest Mustang they could have used. It's plain as day how you can tell the Mustang is not a V8 from how it sounds to the one muffler out back along with the front grille. The show has always bashed Ford Mustangs for unknown reasons but this time they are really trying to make the car look bad.

  1. Why are you suddenly posting this now? That segment was aired a couple years ago. And the show does not always bag on Mustangs. Their first review of the '05 car was positive and there's another segment with Clarkson where he goes through the history of the car and calls it the most important car in history. Yes, they did a real hack job on the GT500 review but I think the Top Gear guys really do like Mustangs.

  2. yea check this one out hahaa

  3. I just saw this recently and thought I would right about it. I really did not know when the show aired. Don't they have producers or somebody that does some due diligence before these segments air. Clarkson knows the car was a V8....

  4. #1) I know they dick a hack job of indentifying mustangs (v6 as a v8, said a shelby has a 4.6 as oppsed to a 5.4), but their reviews (I found) were spot on for the shelby / roush.
If you've driven a shelby, remember, their's was 'vert, much less rigid, more wobbly.
#2) If your gonna insult THEIR indentification, do some homework of your own.
This ISN'T Top Gear. This is a Jeremy Clarkson DVD called "The good, The bad, The ugly" a western themed car DVD focused on finding a good, quality based, american car.
He found the C6 (stock) was the best over all. Also seemed very impressed with the Roush Stage 3. Loved the Z06 on the track, hated it on the road. If your like Cadillac, you dont wanna hear what he says about the XLR.
Love him or hate him, he knows what he's talking about driving, maybe not specifically about the cars.

  5. And if you think they're trying to make mustangs look bad, watch the Roush Stage 3 review.
He LOVES it, says this is what a mustang is suppose to be. The price is right, power, handling, etc... Even states in the video not to judge a mustang by the base, because they're designed to be modified (which is when he is in the 1968 Bullit fastback).
Stop being so biased. He asses the cars for what they are. He has driven practically every European car they have made, so quality is the set standard. We all know why a base mustang GT is 25ish K while a base 335CI BMW (turbo stock) is 50k.
