A woman in North Carolina has piled up close to 700K miles on her 1989 Mustang GT with the original engine still entact. The secret to keeping the engine running smooth according to her son is regular oil changes and proper maintnence. When executives at Ford got word of the Mustang approaching 700K miles on the original engine they rewarded her with two tickets to this weekends NASCAR race at Bristol Speedway.

I bought my 1989 Ford Mustang Gt in 1989.I was just 21yrs young..lol. I still own it and it has 260,000 miles and its running great.Although my check engine light just came on.Should be the oxygen sensors?

"400,000 miles"
one owner 88 gt with 400,000 miles on original motor...2 transmissions....Air quit working @ 50,000 miles.....still drive everyday
