2008 Ford Mustang Goes 252 mph at Bonneville Salt Flats
Last week at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah the annual 'Speed Week' event took place with Danny Thompson, son of late racing legend Mickey Thompson driving his 2008 Ford Mustang to a blistering speed of 252 mph. The 'Speed Week' event attracts about 2,000 people each year with over 500 people registering to drive their vehicles to speeds over 200 mph. The salt flats which cover some 30,000 acres on the Utah/Nevada border is world famous for vehicles of all shapes and sizes racing to see what top speeds they can achieve for various events.
