October 2008 Mustang Sales Figures Released, It Gets Worse

December 31st, 1969 I may have spoke to soon last month when I said September would be the worst month for Mustang sales ever because October Mustang sales got even worse by 224 units. October is now on record as the worst month for Mustang sales ever in it's 45 year history as an automobile.  The future of Mustang sales are in limbo until relief in the form of a refreshed 2010 Mustang hits the showroom floor in early spring. Sales of Mustangs for October of 2008 were 4,686 compared to 9,156 from October of 2007 showing a 48.8% decrease in sales from the previous year. Year to date Mustang sales are 83,557 compared to 118,959 for the first ten months of 2007, which is a 29.8% drop. If you are curious what the previous month sales were than check out January , February , March , April , May , June, July, August and September sales figures.

  1. It's really sad, economy is getting worst every month it seems like it. All I know is I've been saving my money, paid my Mustang off last month and not in debt anymore. I hope things turn around for us, people will definitely not be cruising as much as they usually do this summer. It's a total bummer! I heard autoweek is predicting the Corvette to be remove from GM's line by 2014. Things better change or this may be the last of the muscle car age!

  2. Quite the time for Chrysler and GM to be reviving the Challenger and Camaro.
