When Ford released the final teaser image for the 2010 Mustang I noticed what looked to be a keyhole to open the trunk on the ducktail spoiler only to find out it will be an optional rear-view camera. Seen above in the photo the hole mounted in the center of the ducktail spoiler will be the location for a rear-view camera system, another first for the Ford Mustang. Not sure why a Mustang needs a rear-view camera setup but I guess consumers want their toys in todays automobiles. Other configurations will also be available for the ducktail spoiler but those are unknown at this time.

What are you stupid it is a great option to have especially since the rear view of the Mustang is very limited !!! This will help a lot in parking and preventing stupid bumbs and scratches on the rear or our Mustangs!!!

How is the rear view of a Mustang limited, its a sports car. I see the need for SUV's and trucks but a Mustang its just another toy. It will be nice to have but not an option I would opt for when I am buying a 2010 Mustang.

What you all have to realize is that this is a changing economy and, even though, auto makers are experiencing tough times it's all about allowing consumers to pick and chose what they want on a vehicle. That's why they call them "options". I think it's great to offer items like a camera for the rear of the vehicle on any car. If you want stripped down version with no options, then by all means, it's your choice! Don't knock the options they offer, applaud them and if you buy one then don't check the box. That's all there is to it! I have loved mustangs all my life, even though right now I drive a chevy. I have owned 4 mustangs and I will own one soon again! Hats off to Ford for giving us what we want!
