2009 Yellow Rose Classic Car Show in Fort Worth, Texas

This year is the 20th Annual Yellow Rose Classic Car show in Ft. Worth, Texas held at the Will Rogers Memorial Center on August 8th & 9th.  The all-Ford car show is put on every year by the North Texas Mustang Club who always have a strong contingent of Mustangs on hand.  Like previous years the car show has an eclectic mix of old and modern Ford's including classic Mustangs, Torinos, Thunderbirds, Shelby's and late model Mustangs.

This is my favorite car show here in DFW metroplex because it's completely held inside out of the Texas heat.  With temperatures hovering around the 100 degree mark it's nice to take your time, look around and...

Ford President and CEO Alan Mulally Took Part in the Mustang 45th Anniversary

One of the main reasons Ford Motor Company is not only winning the public relations battle but also on their way to turning things around is because of the man at the top, Alan Mulally, President and CEO who took time out of his busy schedule to make the trip to Birmingham, Alabama for the 45th anniversary Mustang celebration.  Mr. Mulally took part in the 45th anniversary celebration by addressing a crowd gathered for the opening ceremonies at Barber Motorsports Park while holding his signed application for membership into the Mustang Club of America.  One thing he did not do was just glad hand all day, he actually took a hot lap in a 2009...

Check out all the photos below of Mr. Mulally at the 45th anniversary Mustang celebration. Mustangs Across America Rolls Through Lewisville, Texas

Mustangs Across America rolled through my neck of the woods Tuesday.  The convoy of over 230 Mustangs took off from Oklahoma, City Tuesday morning at 8a.m. and cruised down Interstate 35 for their lunch stop at Ford Country of Lewisville in Lewisville, Texas.  I actually got to see some of the Mustangs first hand as my work day started early around 6a.m driving up I-35 into Oklahoma.  When my work was done I headed back to the DFW metroplex down I-35 and it was around 10a.m I started seeing a few Shelby GT500's, 60's Mustangs and a few SN95 stangs.  The pack of Mustangs arrived at the Ford dealership around 11a.m. for a catered lunch with...

Below I have gathered up several photos of the event at Ford Country of Lewisville.  Enjoy... Photos are sourced from  dfwstangs.com forum members '351Coupe' and 'gtownGT'. Each year I go through the list of vehicles going across the block and list all the Mustangs by lot number, year, make/model, and day they are being auctioned. This year the number of Mustangs in the auction has stayed relatively the same from last year with a few special ones going across the block.  There are three Mustangs that stick out this year, (Lot# 665) the first retail production 2010 Shelby GT500 with Carroll Shelby on hand and (Lot#665 & 665.1) the pair of 2004 S197 Concept Ford Mustangs (coupe & convertible).  Other Mustangs include mostly 60's and 70's classic cars with a few 1969' Mach 1's, two 1968 Shelby GT350's and a few 1969 428 SCJ's.  For the complete Mustang list check below.
