Shelby GT, GT-H, GT500, Ebay Roundup

December 9th, 2006 by CobraMatt

If you don’t know by now I guess I can fill you in, I am addicted to Ebay. Most have probably noticed my addiction since I shove Ebay auctions in your face every 4 or 5 blog entries. I spend countless hours on the site searching for crap I do not need and I bet thier are hundreds if not thousands of people out there just like me. I spend most of my time searching around the Motors section looking for anything and everything but mostly for my next car as if I had the money to purchase it. Today I was searching for Shelby’s and after wading through the junk I found a bunch of good auctions for the Shelby GT-H, GT, GT500 and the classic GT500 KR. I have listed all those auctions below with a link to the auction along with a few tidbits of info. I hope everybody enjoys my addiction and what has come of it.

2006 Shelby GT-H

2007 Ford Shelby GT

1968 Shelby GT500 KR

2007 Shelby GT500 - Cheaper Ones on Ebay

1968 Shelby GT350H Hertz

Prize Patrol: Win Carroll Shelby’s 2007 GT500

December 9th, 2006 by CobraMatt

Yes folks it’s another one of those raffles where you buy a ticket, cross your fingers only to hope your name gets drawn for the lucky prize. I won’t lie I have done a few of these raffles in the past and come up empty handed but the money is always for a good cause and your chances of winning are definately better with the small amount of tickets that are sold. So why not pitch a few bucks in and try to win an awesome car.

This raffle is for a 2007 Shelby GT500 that was Carroll Shelby’s personal car that he received from Ford Motor Company. He is donating his Vista Blue Shelby GT500 with Performance White racing stripes to be raffled by the Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation on August 7, 2007. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the foundation and help out children in need. Tickets are $25/each or 5 for $100. For more information including how to purchase tickets please visit WinAShelby.org.

Shelby GT-H’s Going On The Auction Block

December 6th, 2006 by CobraMatt

Over at Autoblog.com they got an anonymous tip about 113 Shelby GT-H Mustangs that are headed to the auction block for various Ford Dealers to bid on. The auctions will be held from Thursday, December 7th through December 21st and will take place in six different locations around the country starting with Manheim, PA, then on to Hayward, CA followed by Denver, Colorad; Atlanta, GA; Fontanca, CA and finaly back to Manheim, PA. Each auction location will recieve around 18 cars to auction off.

Some early estimates on what Ford Dealers might charge is close to $36K but if you think you will be driving one of these babies home for that kind of price think again. I would expect dealer markups for these rare Mustangs to be just like that of the Shelby GT500. So expect to pay at least $10K markup and maybe even more seeing they only made about 500 of them. If buyers were smart they would just buy a Shelby GT which is the exact same car without the rental miles, black paint and gold stripes.

750 HP Twin Turbo Boss Shinoda Mustang

December 3rd, 2006 by CobraMatt

Just a quick post today, yesterday I got this email from James at Shinoda Performance, from the look of the email I think every Mustang site owner on the planet got it as well but oh well I will probably be the first to write about it. The email subject was 750 Horsepower Boss Shinoda Mustang and within the email it contained 15 photos showing a Twin Turbo set up on a S197 Mustang GT in Boss Shinoda rags. On the outside the Mustang looks pretty much stock except for the Boss Shinoda Striping and custom wheels. Under the hood is where Shinoda Perforformance keeps the TWINS, from the looks it’s a twin turbo setup from who I have no idea but we shall know soon as a press release on this monster is soon to follow. I have included a few photos of what I was sent but for the all the rest follow the links below to Mustang Photos.
