I know too well the danger of gravel trucks. In 1994, I was hit by a gravel truck on the driver's side of my car and nearly killed. Now, after 13 years of rehab since I came out of the coma, I am no longer confined to a wheelchair and can walk by taking medication and working out hard training other parts of my brain to control my paralyzed left side, but I had to have brain surgery to rid me of my seizures and still need 9 other daily medications for other problems. Also, my memory sucks so I can't get a decent job and my IQ went from a 126 pre-brain injury (caused by that gravel truck) to a 98, where it is now. GRAVEL TRUCKS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes...........Sir I know what you mean this s...t is a real big problem on the highways, I own a 2006 Pony Package mustang... As I was driving down I 64 I noticed a gravel truck and tried to stay as far back as possible. Then It happened. A rock hummed right into my front grill and busted out my right fog light... Then A few choice word came out my mouth. Took It to the Ford Dealer " In Hope " the service warranty would cover It... Noooooooo....This fits under physical damage. The fog light cost me $96.00 to replace, as the lens was not a option, and the whole f....king assembly had to be replaced. Something is got to be done to hold the dumpers responsible for throwing hard dried rock shit at our vehicles. These cars are not cheap on parts, I mean it's not like we own Fairmonts...hahahaha.

What is the legal responsibility of these hauling companies? I've often had my vehicles hit by dirt or gravel from the trucks and noted the plate and company but not followed through with a complaint. How would you even prove the damage? Seems they have the upper hand.
