Shelby GT-H’s Going On The Auction Block

December 6th, 2006 by CobraMatt

Over at Autoblog.com they got an anonymous tip about 113 Shelby GT-H Mustangs that are headed to the auction block for various Ford Dealers to bid on. The auctions will be held from Thursday, December 7th through December 21st and will take place in six different locations around the country starting with Manheim, PA, then on to Hayward, CA followed by Denver, Colorad; Atlanta, GA; Fontanca, CA and finaly back to Manheim, PA. Each auction location will recieve around 18 cars to auction off.

Some early estimates on what Ford Dealers might charge is close to $36K but if you think you will be driving one of these babies home for that kind of price think again. I would expect dealer markups for these rare Mustangs to be just like that of the Shelby GT500. So expect to pay at least $10K markup and maybe even more seeing they only made about 500 of them. If buyers were smart they would just buy a Shelby GT which is the exact same car without the rental miles, black paint and gold stripes.
