Strange Development’s Control Arm Bushings

July 14th, 2006 by CobraMatt

Hot off the heels of their first success with the lightweight strut-tower brace Strange Development does it again with a new product that is a first for the 2005-06 Mustang aftermarket. Keeping with the lightweight theme SD has developed Front Control Arm Bushings made of nylon that will enable your S197 Mustang to corner better and be more competitive at the race track.

Engineers at SD developed the Control Arm Bushings using MDS nylon 6/6 which can take more of the load than the factory rubber setup and also provide a maintenance free use along with eliminating unwanted bushing deflection. MDS (Molybdenum Disulfide) is similar to graphite and is self lubricating. All MDS nylon filled bushings ride on a 316 stainless steel inner sleeve. SD claims the bushing is truly innovative since it provides the rigidity superior to urethane and delrin and doesn’t require the maintenance.

These control arm bushings are now availalbe through Strange Developments website and are not cheap so don’t get sticker shock when you see the price. You are paying for a first and truly a remarkable product using some of the latest technology. At an introductory price you can get these bad-boys for $410 a set.

Do you have Nylon bushings for lower control arms for 1995 Mustang? We race same, and would prefer offset if available.

    Thank you.
