Looks like somebody’s parents wouldn’t buy him a Mustang for their first car so instead of working for the money like most normal teenagers, David Nelson of Bettendorf, Iowa has decided to take his campaign to the web. David has put up a site called MustangFund.com and his goal is to raise $17K to buy a used Convertible 2005-07 Mustang through donations via Paypal. As of writing this he has not received one donation toward his Mustang but it’s early so check back in a week to see what kind of progress this kid has made.

No I am not a ROUSH shill but it seems like it with all these blog entries this week. I guess we can officially call this ROUSH week and in keeping with the theme I thought why not add another entry to the fire. ROUSH has put up a survey wanting input for the development of the 2010 ROUSH Mustang asking various questions about styling, handling and horsepower to get some feedback. I am not sure how long this survey has been up or how long it will stay up but if you have a few mintues head on over to RoushPerfMarketing.com and fill out the survey.
Don’t you wish Ford did something like this for the 2010 Mustang, that would be to easy now wouldn’t it.

This week is an explosion of ROUSH news with the Louvers and the Drag Pak Mustang in the previous posts and now these 8 wheel packages available from ROUSH. I can hardly keep up, but thank goodness for press releases. I will post the release below and let you tear into it. My favorite is the RR05 in black, whats yours?
Press Release:
ROUSH Performance offers a complete line of wheel packages which makes giving your Ford Mustang the ROUSH look as easy as removing the lug nuts.
There are eight styles available for the Mustang in either a chrome or black painted finish. Some models are forged, while others are cast. Forged wheels are typically lighter and stronger than a cast model, though they are slightly more expensive. All packages are sold with a high-performance tire or just the wheel separately. These would look great on my Luv-Ma-chine… ROUSH is bringing back the Retro theme with these window Louvers that are available for 2005-07 Mustangs. Read more about the Louvers in the ROUSH press release below.
ROUSH Press Release:
ROUSH Performance looked back in history in an effort to continue expanding their Ford Mustang accessory line. With the introduction of the new ROUSH rear window louvers, owners of any 2005 through 2007 Mustang can further turn their ride into a modern version of the classic pony car.
The ROUSH rear window louvers are a one-piece design for both strength and a smooth appearance, do not hinder the driver’s rearward view and minimize blind spots. Unlike others on the market, these louvers have a Venetian-style bend and unique spacing between the slats which was designed to follow the slope of the Mustang roofline. In fact, Jack Roush personally specified the unique arc formed into each louver as he continues to be hands-on with the development of the ROUSH Performance line. PowerTV has put together a nice video of this past weekends NMRA Ford National Series event where the new production version of the 2007 ROUSH Drag Pak Mustang made its debut with Evan Smith, editor of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords magazine at the helm. The Drag Pak Mustang is basically a Stage 3 ROUSH Mustang with an upgraded powertrain, Roll Bar, Tachometer, Break Pressure Gauge, Improved Shifter, Drag Slicks, Smaller pulley on the ROUSHcharger, cold air intake and special tune. With it’s 430+ horsepower the car is said to go 11 seconds in the quarter mile and still retain emissions legal status. The car is being limited to just 50 units and can only be purchased from Brandon Ford in Tampa Florida. For more on the ROUSH Drag Pak Mustang watch the video here.

Up for auction on Ebay is a 2007 Cervini C500 Mustang GT dressed to kill with an Eleanor type Cirvini body kit, 20″ wheels and a ProCharger. According to the auction title this Mustang is dubbed the “Corvette Killer” and with the blower it should have no problems but it kinda reminds me of something out of the Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift with it’s import looking body kit. Not that having an import look is bad but on a Mustang it’s just not the way I wanna roll.
MSRP on this bad boy is close to the $60K mark and it can be found in the Houston area at Lone Star Ford if you want a closer look. As of writing this the auction only had one bid and the reserve has not been met. See more pics and information on ebay.

It’s auction time again folks with the 2007 Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Collector Car event being held March 28 - April 1 at the South Florida Expo Center in West Palm Beach. The event will feature over 600 cars of which 42 are Mustangs crossing the auction block, 100 exhibitors and some of the finest automobillia auctions. For those not able to attend the event head on over to the SPEED Channel where they will broadcast the show tape delayed on Thursday March 29 and Friday March 30. On Saturday March 31st SPEED will offer Live coverage from noon to 8p.m.
Just like the Scottsdale event I have sifted through all the auctions to weed out the Mustangs going across the block. I have posted those auctions below along with a link to more information and photos about each Mustang. Some of the highlights include a super low mileage 1990 GT, a pair of 2007 Shelby GT500’s, 2005 FR500C Race Car, 60’s Shelbys and the 300 Millionth car produced by Ford which was a Mustang plus many other great Mustangs. Enjoy and if I missed something please let me know in the comments. Mustang list after the jump. Continue reading ‘2007 Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach Mustang Preview’

I know alot of women and possibly a few men were wishing for an all Pink Mustang for 2008 after we did an entry about it back in November but it looks like you will only be getting part of your wish. According to a forum member who got a sneak peek at the 2008 Mustang order guide, Ford will be offering a “Mustang Sally” package on 2008 V6 Coupe and Convertible Mustangs. Little is known about the package at this point but the package is an appearance only option including special fender badges, Pink lower side striping, Pink seat piping, Pink interior stitching along with other Pink accents througout the interior. The exterior will be available in two color choices that we know about, White and Black. Until the 2008 Mustang order guide comes out we will just have to speculate on what this new limited edition will hold. A high-res photo after the jump.
***Update***
According to Detnews.com, Ford plans to offer this new Mustang under the “Warriors in Pink” program for the Summer in partnership with the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Some of the profits from the sale of these vehicles will go directly to the foundation. The “Warriors in Pink” program is promoted by Ford to raise awareness about breast cancer.

The bushing wizards over at Energy Suspension have released a new Rear Upper Control Arm Bushing set for 2005-07 Mustangs. These control arm bushings are full-floating and non binding, which is useful when your ride hieght is altered or greater suspension load is required. These Hyper-Flex performance polyurethane control arm bushings control arm bushings do not rot or deteriorate from oils or atmospheric conditions such as ozone, smog, road salt, chemicals, and other corrosives. They will not deteriorate in a few short years and cause that mushy, uncertain steering response that their rubber O.E.M. counterparts often do. Most sets come with zinc plated outer metal shells. These bushings are available in either Red or Black fininsh. Continue reading ‘New: Energy Suspension Control Arm Bushings’
Got an update for everybody on the 600 Horsepower Saleen that is being produced specifically for The Great American Run participants. I found out a price and some specifications for all who were curious as to what this monster Saleen comes with and how much dough you need to fork over to own it. The price is $78K for Great American Run participants. If you remember in a previous post I mentioned only 25 of these babies are being produced and 1 of them is going to the winner of the cannonball style event so that leaves 24 to be sold to participants. All the speicifications are after the jump.
