Press Release:
Ford Racing and SVT are joining both the Special Vehicle Team Owners Association (SVTOA) and the Shelby American Automobile Club (SAAC) for a four-day Ford performance festival at Miller Motorsports Park, a brand-new, world-class racing facility outside Salt Lake City.
This Ford enthusiast dream event combines the SAAC 32 National Convention and the SVTOA Experience III get-together in Tooele, Utah, in an extended July 6-9 weekend of on-track driving events, demonstration runs, exhibition races, parade laps, car shows and unlimited high-performance Ford and Mustang mingling between owners of both the old and new.
Headquartered out of The Little America Hotel & Towers in downtown Salt Lake City, this historic event is set up to appeal to both participants and spectators alike – whether it’s first-time drivers, experienced track dogs or simply Ford performance fans of all ages.
In addition to great driving, great cars and great people, plenty of extras have been planned along the way: like a road rally and a special autocross; Shelby and SVT seminars at the hotel; a display of original Daytona Coupes from all over the world; a four-day swap meet and midway with Ford Motor Company, Ford Racing and SVT showcasing their latest products; even Miller’s own pro drivers offering instructor laps in Ford Racing-modified school Mustang GTs all four days. Plus there’s a dinner program with appearances from Ford Racing managers and SVT engineers who are still working to make the brand stronger than ever.
This event is open to all Ford, Ford family and Ford-powered vehicles. Drivers and/or students must be at least 18 years old, a member of SVTOA or SAAC and hold a valid driver’s license. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis – so there’s still time left to join the c lub and make plans to attend this unique event with a trip to Utah July 6 through 9.
