Mustang GT RTD With 2.0 Liter Turbo Bio Diesel Engine
September 13th, 2007 by CobraMatt

Going green is all the rage these days and the Mustang is no exception as we see with this S197 Mustang with a 2-liter Bio Diesel Engine at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The 4-cylinder turbocharged engine cranks out 280 horsepower with 368 ft. lbs of torque and does 0-60 in 5 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.
If thats not eco friendly enough for you then consider the Mustangs body panels are made of so-called bio composite produced from vegetable raw materials. Not just for show the body components are able to withstand extreme loads and stresses in motor sports, the body components were developed in cooperation with the German Aerospace Center.
After the jump I have included a few high-res photos of the eco friendly Mustang.

I think a “green” diesel mustang is AWESOME…let us try it out here in the states?
Manufacture a production run of these things and test the waters. Especially if the performance is higher than their gas counterparts, you’ll sell everyone of them.
