***************

The inaugural 2008 Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas collector car auction will be held October 15th-18th at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.  As with the other two yearly Barrett-Jackson collector car auctions I have gone through and picked out all the Mustangs going across the block for each day providing you with a complete list including Lot#’s, Year/Model , links to photos and the auction day.  The first day of the auction has only three Mustangs going across the block with the 17th and 18th being the primary days for Mustangs to be seen.

Some of the notable Mustangs at this year’s Las Vegas event include Lot # 212, a 1966 Mustang coupe owned by James Earl Ray (he assasinated Martin Luther King Jr.),  Lot #460, a 1980 Mustang owned by actress Bette Davis, Lot #508.1, a 2008 FR500S media race car, several prime examples of Shelby GT500’s, SCJ’s and Boss’s.  Another notable vehicle is Lot #819, Carroll Shelby’s first car he drove in a road race, a 1952 1949 MG TC Roadster.

If you can’t make it to Las Vegas for this event don’t worry because it will be broadcast Live on the Speed channel.  The complete auction list with lot #’s, model/year is after the jump…

Shelby’s first road racer was a MG TD not a MG TC. The last TC’s were 1949.

I HAVE A TIFFANY & CO SILVER PENDANT FOR THE 1964 MUSTANG - EXCELLENCE IN AMERICAN DESIGN. THEY ONLY MADE A FEW OF THESE AND GAVE THEM OUT TO DEALERS TO GIVE TO SOME OF THE FIRST CUSTOMERS. THE HENRY FORD MUSEUM DOESN’T EVEN HAVE ONE IN THEIR COLLECTION. WOULD BARRETT-JACKSON BE INTERESTED IN AUCTIONING THIS PIECE?

    It’s a 1949 MG, not a 1952 that they are selling.
