2nd Annual Sturgis Mustang Rally on Labor Day Weekend

Don’t have anything to do this Labor Day weekend, why not take a road trip to the Black Hills of Sturgis, South Dakota for the the 2nd Annual Sturgis Mustang Rally. Last years innagural Mustang Rally was a huge hit and this years Rally hopes to improve on those numbers with more events and another Shelby GT prize giveaway. The 5-day Mustang rally starts this Thursday with registration and a reception at the Stugis Armory with music by “The Misfits”. Other events planned for the 5-day Rally include poker runs, pub crawl, car shows, parade of cars, drag racing, AutoCross races and more.
Cash and prizes will be given away for the Poker Runs, Drag and AutoCross races along with one lucky winner getting a 2008 Shelby GT in Vista Blue trim. Check out a schedule of events after the jump or head on over to SturgisMustangRally.com for more info.

- 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. - Registration and reception at the Sturgis Armory. Music provided by “The Misfits”
Friday, August 29
- 8 a.m. - 8 a.m. - Registration (cont.) at the Sturgis Armory
- 8 a.m. - Southern Black Hills Poker Run
- 7 p.m. - Pub Crawl World Famous Main Street Sturgis
Saturday, August 30
- 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. - Registration (cont.) at Jacobsen Ford
- 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. - Show & Shine lineup at Jacobsen Ford
- 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Show & Shine on Main Street
- 4 p.m. - Show and Shine Awards/Shelby Car Give-Away on Main St.
- 7 p.m. - Parade Line-up at Thunder Road - 3 miles east of Sturgis on Hwy 34 (Next to Kickstart Travel Center)
- 7:30 p.m. - Parade by Fort Meade Veterans Hospital
- 8 p.m. - Parade on World Famous Sturgis Main Street/Cruiser Night
Sunday, August 31
- 8 a.m. - 12 noon - Time Trials at the Sturgis Drag Strip
- 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. - Northern Hills Poker Run
- 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. - Mustang Drag Racing at the Sturgis Dragway
- (For street Mustangs Only. If you plan on participating in the Drag Racing, Please bring a helmet. Cash and Trophy for the Sweet 16 Cars in the Finals.)
Monday, September 1
- 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. - AutoCross at Thunder Road - 3 miles east of Sturgis on Hwy 34 (Next to Kickstart Travel Center. For Street Mustangs only. Cash and Trophy for the Sweet 16 Cars in the Finals.)
- (if you plan on participating in the AutoCross, Please bring a helmet) - 8 a.m. - 12 noon - Draw for Poker Run Hands at Thunder Road - 3 miles east of Sturgis on Hwy 34 (Next to Kickstart Travel Center)
12 noon - 1 p.m. - Picnic - Thunder Dome at Thunder Road - 3 miles east of Sturgis on Hwy 34 (Next to Kickstart Travel Center)
