Spider-Man Themed Mustang Combines Passion and Memories
April 14th, 2008 by CobraMatt

Growing up the youngest of 7 children Scott Jaegly the owner of the Spider-Man themed Mustang shown above had most everything a kid could want or need except things like comic books or the newest toys. Scott grew up on a farm in the country with his brothers and sisters spending most of his time doing chores around the house and playing with his friends who lived next door. His father was a car guy who worked as a salesmen for Sears Automotive which meant he always had homemade go carts and rebuilt motorcycles to play around with. While growing up watching his older siblings fixing and working on the coolest cars Scott always knew his time would come one day to do the very same things they did.
When Scott was about 10 years old he had a pretty bad bicycle accident that sent him to the hospital with a concusion. This would be Scott’s first time away from his home overnight and his father who felt pretty bad about the whole incident bought him a comic book to help cheer him up. You probably can guess what the comic book was, Marvel’s Spider-Man. Scott, who says he still has the same comic book his father brought to him that day in the hospital says he was hooked on Spider-Man after reading just one comic book. From then on out he was into everything Spider-Man, watching the old 70’s Spider-Man TV shows, the 80’s cartoon version and collecting several pieces of Spider-Man Memorabilia along the way.
Unfortunately when Scott was 16-years-old his father passed away and he never really got to share the usual car guy relationship with his father liked he hoped. So when Scott reached a point in his life when he could combine the two things that reminded him most of his father, cool cars and Spider-Man he created the ultimate memory for himself in what he calls Spidey-Stang.
Spidey-Stang is a Torch Red 2005 Mustang V6 deluxe with custom Spider-Man graphics by CGS Imaging in Maumee, Ohio and Colonial Sign of Toledo, Ohio. The interior is pretty much stock with its black leather, Spider-Man floormats, steering wheel cover and various plush Spider-Man’s.
Some of the modifications that make this car unique include a set of Lambo Doors, Astra rear window louvers, a set of Razzi side window scoops, hood pins by Classic Design Concepts and Toyo Tires with Pulse wheels. Other exterior mods include a GT appearance kit that include the front and rear bumpers and rocker panels. An added touch is the Peter Parker license plate. The only engine mod at this point is the working CDC Shaker hood scoop that reads Spider Jet but Scott has big plans for the futre that include a turbo charger and possibly NOS, he is currently looking for sponsors. Scott and his wife did most of the aftermarket installs themselves with help from his oldest brother John.
This is definately a memory that will last Scott and his family a long time to come. Check out all the photos below:
