    Ford Brings Back The CobraJet - FordMuscle.com Forums

    […] Ford Brings Back The CobraJet Ford will be building fifty factory race CobraJet Mustangs ready for ten second runs. Details have emerged on the new 2008 Ford Racing Cobra Jet Mustang also known as the FR500CJ. The new Cobra Jet Mustang (FR500CJ) will join Ford Racing’s two other successful road racing Mustangs, the FR500C and FR500S as turn-key race cars available through Ford Dealers. The cars will be built in December of 2008 and shipped to customers in February of 2009. The FR500CJ will be a factory-built race car with a 400 horsepower 5.4L DOHC supercharged engine with a 6-speed manual transmission that is standard, an optional automatic will also be available. The car itself will be lightweight at 3,300 lbs and will be NHRA legal to 10.00 second ET’s along with the interior being NHRA Stock Eliminator legal interior. It will come with a unique trim and appearance package, drag race wheel/tire combination and a Cobra Jet graphics package. Ford says there will be an initial 50 unit production run with the MSRP being $69,900. […]

    Mustang hood spotted! « ‘Cross The Breeze

    […] The last few weeks something similar happened (and is still ongoing) with the new 2010 Ford Mustang. The teaser website doesn’t really say much, apart from the fact that we still have to wait until Spring 09. But in these past few weeks, there have been spyshots of the new Mustang aka photos of a car that is partially covered and has a slight Dalmatian look and feel in many cases. But that happens to pretty much any car. In case of the Mustang – similar to what we’ve seen in the tech industry – every single piece of news around the new model is big news on all auto blogs. Take this “2010 Mustang hood spotted” for instance or the interior shots, 
 I didn’t keep track of everything but it always reminded me of what happens when let’s say people know Apple is working on an update of one of their products. Funny enough – and again similar – I’m not even sure if you’ll notice the difference with the ‘older’ Mustang to begin with. […]

    2008 FR500CJ Cobra Jet Photos Released at Ford Mustang Blog - Mustang News

    […] Back in June news came down about the FR500CJ Mustang and the other day Video was posted by Ford showcasing what the Cobra Jet could do at the drag strip.  Today Ford has released three high-res photos of the new 2008 FR500CJ “Cobra Jet” factory drag Mustang for the public to feast on.  Although no details have come out we do know a supercharged 5.4 liter 32-valve V8 engine will be stuffed under the hood.  From the photos you can clearly see a few of the features that include side louvers, 4 hood pins, powered by Ford badge, Skinnies on front, fat drag tires on back, antenna delete, Cobra Jet graphics, 5″ Ford Racing tach on dash, Rollbar and custom drag wheels.  It’s definately shaping up to be an awesome Cobra Jet Drag car.     Update: Mustang Blog’s Power Wheels Shelby GT Project at Ford Mustang Blog - Mustang News
